Privacy Policy

SoccerMental LLC

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it. We wrote it to be read. If anything is unclear, ask us and a person will answer.

Who we are

SoccerMental is a cognitive training platform for football, operated by SoccerMental LLC. Reach us through the contact page.

What we collect

  • Account information, provided by a parent or adult account holder: name, email address, and country or region.
  • Training data, generated as the platform is used: session attendance, drill scores, scanning and decision metrics, match telemetry, and progress records. This is the product; it is what the reports and certificates are made of.
  • Community content: posts on the Wall, made under a club name, never under a child's real name.
  • Device basics: browser type and approximate region, used to run and secure the service.
  • Payment information is handled by our payment processor. We never see or store card numbers.

What we will never do

  • We will never sell personal data. To anyone. Ever.
  • Advertising on the platform is stadium sponsorship only: boards around the pitch, identical for every player. We will never use third-party advertising networks, and no sponsor ever receives personal data.
  • We will never use behavioural advertising or cross-site tracking.
  • Nothing that affects play is ever for sale, so there is no in-game purchasing and no real-money economy of any kind.

How we use data

To run the sessions, build each player's record, generate parent and coach reports, keep the community safe, process subscriptions, and improve the platform. Each purpose uses the minimum data it needs.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers who run the platform (hosting, payments, and voice services), each bound to use it solely for us. If a club or academy licenses the platform, its staff receive a licensed view of relevant training data. They never own the record. The record belongs to the player and their family. Organisation deployments run isolated from the consumer platform.

Microphone and The Calls

  1. The Calls is an optional feature that is switched off by default and can only be enabled by a parent or guardian through an explicit on-screen action.
  2. When enabled, the device microphone is used solely to measure sound volume in the moment of play. The audio signal is processed transiently on the device and is discarded immediately. It is never recorded, never stored, never transmitted, and never used for voice recognition, identification, or profiling.
  3. The only information retained is a number — the count of calls made during a session — which is stored with the child's game progress and contains no audio and no personal information.
  4. A visible indicator is shown whenever the microphone is active. Tapping the indicator disables the microphone immediately, and it remains disabled until a parent enables it again.
  5. No third party receives microphone data of any kind, because none exists: no audio is ever created in storage or in transit. We deliberately do not use browser or cloud speech-recognition services for this feature.

The record, retention, and deletion

The training record belongs to the player and the account-holding parent. It is exportable at any time and it survives cancellation. You may delete the account and the record at any time, and we will delete it from our systems within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep specific billing records.

Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time from the account or by contacting us. California residents have the rights set out in the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct; we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it. Residents of Mexico have the ARCO rights (access, rectification, cancellation, opposition) under the LFPDPPP. We honour all of these through the contact page.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to those who need it, and organisation deployments are isolated. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you plainly and promptly.

Children

Children use SoccerMental through accounts their parents create and control. Everything about how we treat children's data is set out in the Children's Privacy Policy, which is written for parents and controls if anything here conflicts with it.

Changes

If this policy changes in any meaningful way, account holders are notified by email before the change takes effect.
