SoccerMental LLC

These are the terms for using SoccerMental. They are written to be read, and the short version is: be honest, keep children safe, pay for what you use, and everything a player earns belongs to them.

The service

SoccerMental is a cognitive training and measurement platform for football, delivered in the browser. Accounts are created and held by adults; children access the platform through a parent's account under the Children's Privacy Policy.

Subscription, billing, and cancellation

  • A payment card is provided at signup (players joining through a registered coach's code may instead add their card at the end of the free week). The first 7 days (Preseason) are free, and nothing is charged during them.
  • The Player subscription list price is $39.99 per month, and players joining through a registered coach's code subscribe at the team rate of $29.99 per month. While the founding window is open, every new subscription begins at the Founding Family rate of $19.97 per month instead, locked for as long as the subscription stays active. Regional pricing may apply. Unless you cancel before the free week ends, billing begins on day 7 and renews monthly until cancelled.
  • Your rate never rises while you stay subscribed. When the founding window closes, it closes for new signups only: founding families keep $19.97 for life.
  • You will always be told the price and the renewal terms clearly before you are charged, and you must expressly consent before billing begins.
  • Cancelling is as easy as subscribing: one action in the account, no calls, no retention scripts. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and no further charges are made.
  • Where a refund is required by law, it is honoured. Where it is not, unused time on a cancelled month remains usable until the period ends.
  • The training record survives cancellation. It belongs to the player and remains exportable.

The pledge

Nothing that affects play is ever for sale. Kits, names, ranks, and difficulty are identical at every price and can only be earned by attendance and study. All in-game currency is game money earned by playing; it cannot be bought with real money, and real money can never buy anything on the pitch.

The Calls and the microphone

The Calls feature uses the device microphone as a volume meter only, subject to the Microphone section of our Privacy Policy. It is off by default, may only be enabled by a parent or guardian, and may be disabled at any time. Enabling it is optional and does not affect access to any other part of the service.

Acceptable use

  • One family per consumer account; organisations use an organisation licence.
  • No abusive, unlawful, or unsafe conduct in community spaces. The Community and Chat Safety rules form part of these terms.
  • No scraping, reselling, reverse engineering, or attempts to access another family's or organisation's data.

Organisations

Clubs, academies, and coaches use SoccerMental under a separate organisation agreement, priced and agreed directly. Organisations license a view of training data for players in their programme; ownership of every record remains with the player and family.

Intellectual property

The platform, its content, and its instruments are owned by us or our licensors. Open-source components are credited on the Attributions page. The training record a player builds belongs to the player.

Honest limits

SoccerMental certifies study and demonstrated understanding. It does not grade talent, does not predict ability, and does not promise sporting outcomes. It is an educational training tool, not a clinical, medical, or psychological assessment instrument; see the Research Statement. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before a claim.
